Hummingbirds

What fun to stitch, like drawing a picture and then colouring it in!

Beautiful Pattern

I am a member of Peppermint Purple and I LOVE hummingbirds, so I had to purchase this pretty pattern! I can't wait to start it! The owner is so easy to communicate with, I have purchased several other patterns as well.

My first completed blackwork project!

It took me over a year after my niece introduced me to it to get up the nerve to try blackwork. When I finally did, I had two projects on the go, one of the studies and this lovely that I did for a new friend. It's far from perfect but I was proud, and she loved it. This little picture is so elegant when it is finished. I found it quite challenging (a good thing!) and had to do some substituting with the colours because I wasn't ready to make an investment at that point and wanted to use floss I already had on hand. I think I learned more on this little project than I have on any other and it prepared me for some of the more complicated patterns ahead.
